  1. Mark,

As any programmer knows, mistakes inevitably happen. It’s the nature of the beast. I hope you are not beating yourself up over it.

Today, I sat down to use StoryBox, as I have every day since I switched my latest writing effort to StoryBox from other software I was using. And, as I also do each day, I marvel at the efficiency, elegance, and intuitive simplicity of the design of your program. I’m not a person who typically ‘gushes’ over a software product, but after writing seriously for the last 10 years plus, and using a plethora of software writing tools (Power Writer, Power Structure, Writer’s Blocks, WriteWay, WriteItNow, yWriter, and more), I am amazed at how you’ve assembled all of the really important and usable functions a writer needs on a day to day base, without bogging it all down with pointless fluff.
    I’ve never been this productive.

I just wanted to thank you one more time for a great program. Please, keep up the good work.

  2. Hey thanks!

I’m not really beating myself up over it. I’m just probably being more cautious than I would normally be with 1.2.97, which is “in the can” but still undergoing some testing.

My goal has always been functionality with simplicity. I don’t want my software getting in the way. I want to be able to open it and start typing like word, but still be able to organize and structure if necessary. I’m hoping that, as I add features here over the next few months, I can fit them in without causing undo confusion or creating unnecessary complexity.
