This build is mostly about performance improvements while writing/editing. Most will be obviously noticeable only with larger documents or slower computers.

This latest version of StoryBox has a huge number of fixes, improvements and features included. The biggest feature/change is “real” support for multiple stories in the same project. Before, you could create additional stories, but you couldn’t keep track of their word counts separately, and exporting the one you wanted was confusing. Now, you can track wordcounts separately for each story as well as continue to view the overall word count of the project. When you use the File->Export menu, you now get a list of all the stories to select from.

Fixes some memory leaks and adds a project wide view of your tags. Not a whole lot of changes, but a lot of effort put in. The memory leak issues should really help improve performance for those with limited memory systems.

So, that big annoying bug that’s been plaguing StoryBox for months is finally fixed. I knew the symptoms, and I knew how to cause it from the users perspective. What I couldn’t figure out was what bit of code was causing the problem. For a long time, I was sure it was a problem in the outline grid itself, which is not something I have control over. To a degree, it was a problem with the grid in that it allowed my code to do something it shouldn’t. However, it’s fixed now and you should download 1.3.111 ASAP!
