This build is mostly minor tweaks and bug fixes, but if you use the Storyboard view a bit, you’ll find that it has a new scrollbar and should hopefully be a bit easier to use (like the fact that it no scrolls cards that are moved all the way into view correctly).

StoryBox 0.3.62
This is one of those builds where I’m putting it up because I’m really excited about it, and I want to show off something cool. Check out the full screen mode in this build, and you’ll see a few new things (you may notice something in the regular mode, too).
First, the scrollbar looks different. I managed to hook a custom scrollbar to the text area, which solves a few problems, like quite a lot of the blinking that was happening as I hacked around issues that came up because of the default scrollbar. It also happens to look a little more appropriate, I think.
Second, if you start typing, you’ll notice pretty quickly that, if you would normally be typing on the bottom half of the screen, it will automatically move your typing to the center of the screen. If you don’t like this behavior, you can turn it off in the View options (on the status bar at the bottom).
Third, you can auto-hide the status bar by right clicking on it and selecting Auto-Hide from the menu that pops up.
A few other minor changes, including the ability to delete old versions round out this update. I was going to take the weekend and play World of Warcraft… I think, however, that I had much more fun.
StoryBox 0.2.60
So, apparently, no one tried to use the search feature since 0.1.59 came out. Apparently, I somehow managed to totally disable it. Couldn’t search on anything.
BUT!!!
That’s fixed, along with some other minor things….
Like Importing from RTF Documents, and the ability to add multiple Story nodes and double clicking an item in the Outline mode to open a document. Lots of other little things cleaned up, too.
I promise, this is it for a few days unless some other stupid thing I broke pops up.
StoryBox 0.1.59 – Dum, dum dum dum…
So, last night, I released 0.1.58 – and there were two GLARING issues in it (one I found, one that was reported to me by one of you). Those are fixed in this latest build, along with a couple other goodies. Next stop, RTF import – unless you all find something else utterly and annoyingly broken.
StoryBox 0.1.58
Yes, there’s another one. This one has updated UI components, so you should uninstall any previous version before installing this one. It’s not critical, but if you don’t, you may see some odd UI behavior. There may still be some odd behavior – I think I’ve caught all the issues, but I probably haven’t.
StoryBox 0.1.57 and the Future
Uploaded a new build with some new features, like auto numbered scenes and chapters, and a menu item that will open the support forum in the internal browser. A couple bug fixes finishes it off.
Version 1.0 is coming, really. If you are already using StoryBox, whenever 1.0 eventually arrives, there won’t be a big host of new features over what you’re already seeing. I have one or two more semi-large items to add, and a lot of tweaking to do, but it’ll be basically the same as what you’re looking at now. I’m really feeling pretty good about it now. Tell your friends, if you haven’t already. Get them in on the Early Adopter version before the price goes up.
