The Music Is Back

That didn’t take too long, did it? If you were visiting while I was playing around, you might have seen a couple different players, one which ran in a bar across the bottom that I liked, except for the fact I couldn’t change it’s appearance to match the theme.

Hello world!

Ah Yeah – new blog software here, too! Unfortunately, lost the comments, but what the hell, there weren’t that many anyway. I’ll get the music back up here, too, in a bit. I gotta do real work now, though.

Has It Really Only Been A Week?

I guess so! A week ago, I hit the 40 pound loss. Today, I hit 43, right on the nose. Nearly 3 pounds in a week (2.8)! Hot damn. I thought I’d been slowing up, but maybe, just maybe, I won’t slow up quite yet. A week to go, roughly, until day 30 of P90 Masters, and a pound and a half away from my goal for pretty much every 30 days (10 pounds per 30 is my goal). I’ve done better than that every month so far.

I’m really looking forward to going into a maintenance mode. I find I’ve been hungrier lately, and I have been eating more on days that I work out. For the first three months, my target was about 1500 calories. This past week, I’ve been doing more like 1800, and 2000 yesterday. According to my nifty little iPod app “Lose It!”, my daily caloric intake for losing a pound a week is a shade over 2000 calories, if I were to do no exercise at all. With the exercise, I’m probably burning 300-500 calories extra, so I think I’m sitting about where I should be to hit my monthly goals. What I don’t want to do is make my body think I’m starving it. I want to keep my muscles.

Look Away If Your Squeamish

Honestly, I’m really bothered by what I’m about to do, at least, with the first pic. I’m embarrassed somewhat that I ever allowed myself to get THAT far out of shape. The result of years of stagnation. However, the reason I’m showing you is the second picture, and what it means.

The second picture is the result of some work (about 45 minutes a day) and eating appropriately and healthily. That really is all it takes to lose 35 pounds in 90 days.

Now, these pictures are really about two weeks later than 90 days, and we’ve started working Power 90 Masters and I’ve lost another four pounds, even with taking a week off (where I pretty much stayed the same that week). So the difference between the pictures is nearly forty pounds. I’m hoping, if you need it, that these pictures can inspire you. It’s amazing what can be done in a short amount of time if you really put the effort into it.

Some Updates

So we started Power 90 Masters series four days ago, and despite the fact that I’m having some knee trouble (wearing a brace during the workouts seems to be helping), I’m enjoying doing something different. I’m now down to 187, which puts the total weight loss at 38.5 pounds, which isn’t too shabby at all. It also means I’ve only got 22 pounds to go to reach my goal target weight.

Also, I’ve been obsessed, really, with an old/new Laughing Dragon Games project. Finally. I think I’ve got a good plan, too, for finally turning LDG into what I wanted it to be originally. You can check out the project blog at http://www.infinitesuns.com/blog.aspx. I’m really excited about it, and it’s hard for me to stop working on it to get other things done, which bodes well for it’s future.
